Redefining Dentistry

Our name was chosen to showcase our philosophy and service. We “Elevate” everything we do, all for you! We see your oral health as an integrative part of your whole health and focus on the holistic and biological aspect of it. Health is not subjective or defined by lack of symptoms and problems. Wellness-based dentistry focuses on identifying and treating risk factors before problems show up as conditions and effects, and is essentially root cause-based care. At Elevate Dentistry, we promise to deliver the highest level of care for you and your family that you deserve and should expect from a dental health team. Come see how Dr. David and his team are redefining dentistry.

We Want to Know You, Understand You & Focus on Your “Why”

What matters most to you when it comes to your dental care? Comfort? Aesthetics? Longevity? Function? It’s important to you, so it’s important to us. This is why the first thing you’ll receive is a Patient Values Form so we can tailor your care based on your needs and preferences.

Meet Dr. David
Give Your Health the Time It Deserves. We Do It Different!

Traditional dentistry focuses on fixing things when they break down. It waits until disease has presented itself and its destructive effect is in action. It’s typically founded upon the watch and wait philosophy that allows conditions to worsen until the patient or dentist is finally motivated to intervene.

Wellness-centered care is not rushed. It takes time. It takes listening. Most of all, it takes an active plan.

It involves understanding you, your “why” and goals, and then developing a custom plan looking through that lens. Our new patient appointment process is one of a kind, being it is customized to your needs and desires. We believe in listening to our patients before we begin the examination process and dental care. This begins with a sit-down conversation where you and Dr. David get to know one another. During this consultation, Dr. David gets to better understand your overall health, your past dental experiences and concerns, and most importantly to hear your WHY. Doing it this way allows him to determine how to move forward with your personalized care.

Why Choose
Integrative Dentistry?

Integrative dentistry views the body as interconnected systems, where one area (like the mouth for example) affects others, such as the heart. Harmful oral bacteria can spread and damage other systems, while healthy bacteria support overall wellness.

Unfortunately, most healthcare providers focus narrowly within their specialty, with little discussion of nutrition, sleep, fitness, or collaboration between doctors. But Dr. David takes a different approach. He evaluates a patient’s oral health through the lens of their overall well-being, considering how it impacts and is impacted by the entire body. When necessary, he coordinates with healthcare providers to ensure your mouth and body are treated as one system, serving to preserve and enhance your wellness rather than simply managing disease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dr. David believes that when you’re informed, you’re better prepared to make important decisions regarding your oral health and well-being. Before any treatment begins, we will carefully review all your options and answer any questions you may have. You deserve to know the Why and How behind every procedure, and we won’t move forward until you do. Everyone's needs are unique, but we've answered some common questions below to help you get started.

What is Wellness Dentistry?

Wellness dentistry is a holistic approach to oral health that goes beyond just treating teeth and gums. It focuses on how your oral health connects to your overall wellbeing. Instead of just fixing problems when they arise (like cavities or gum disease), wellness dentistry emphasizes prevention, education, and whole-body health. It also features a key principle in that it focuses on choosing the most natural treatment option available so as to not create harm and risk to the body.

What does Integrative mean?

While most dentists understand the oral systemic connection, wellness-focused dentists take this methodology further. This type of dentistry requires additional education and training beyond what is studied in dental school. It takes much more time to relay this information to the patient so that oral and systemic health are addressed in tandem. To best treat each patient, collaboration is key.

As a wellness-focused dentist, Dr. David often works closely with your other health providers. We partner with MD’s, DO’s, ND’s, DC’s, integrative physicians, and nutritionists to support your whole-body health.

Do you see emergency patients?

Nobody wants to have a dental emergency, and keeping up with your regular checkups can help prevent one from happening. But if an emergency occurs, we are here for you! Call us as soon as you become aware of the issue so that we can assist in finding you an expedited time for your visit. For most dental emergencies, call before 9:00am and we will do our absolute best to get you in the same day.

We also have an emergency line that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! If your emergency happens outside of our regular business hours, all you have to do is call our office and it will direct you to our emergency line.

Do you see kids?

Absolutely! We love kids and believe many problems can be detected very early in life when the proper time is taken to thoroughly evaluate children. Common practice in our office is centered on making sure a child has proper jaw development, breathing patterns, tongue space, and a healthy oral biome. Attention to these things early will pay dividends for decades to come.

Why do I need regular dental checkups if I’m not in pain?

Many dental issues, like cavities or gum disease, don't cause pain in the early stages, just as dangerous health conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer don't often exhibit noticeable symptoms early on either. Regular checkups help detect these issues when they are much easier and less costly to treat effectively.
